Abstract
Indonesia is known as a moderate to high seismicity region. Thus, Indonesian Standard for building seismic design (SNI 1726-2019) has been release for immediate implementation. However, the Indonesian standard is based the elastic analysis which does not represents the actual behaviour of the building. The main goal of this study is to evaluate the seismic performance of the buildings seismically designed using the Indonesian standard. The nonlinear pushover analysis is carried out to study nonlinear behaviour of the building during an earthquake. The results showed that the buildings have sufficient capacity of resist the earthquake load with life safety performance level.
