Abstract
This research aims to understand the effect of the charismatic leadership (X) on job performance (Y) to the health workers during the Covid-19 pandemic mediated by commitment (M) and moderated by generosity (W). This research uses quantitative approach by conducting surveys and data analysis. During the survey period, 367 health workers consisting 60 men and 307 women from some cities in Indonesia. Next, data analysis was conducted using the R programming language. The data analysis result was divided into two, descriptive analysis based on the demographic attributes and moderated mediation analysis to find the interconnectivity between variables. The demographic analysis showed that from the 367 respondents, the majority were aged between 26-30 years old (103 people), undergraduates (172 people) and diplomas (169 people). More than 90 percent of the respondents (359 people) worked in private hospitals. The analysis found some main paths including channel a (est = 0.098, p = 0.00), b1 (est = 0.93, p = -0.13), b2 (est = 0.812, p = 0.02), b3 (est = -0.01, p = 0.30), c’ (est = 0.03, p = 0.06), and imm (-0.001). The moderated mediation analysis showed that the variable generosity did not moderate the relationship between commitment and job performance, and commitment does not significantly influence job performance.
